There are two possible walks at Ely Lodge Forest
From Enniskillen travel north along the A46 Shore Road towards Belleek and at a distance of approx. 10 km watch for a sign to the right for the Ely Lodge Forest car park. Park here if you are taking the ELY LODGE LOUGH SHORE circular walk and follow the red route along the Lough Erne shoreline and through deep forest. Ely Lodge, a secluded country mansion on the opposite side of the lake was once the home of Robert Grosvenor, the 5th Duke of Westminster whose daughters Leonora and Jane and son Gerald, the 6th Duke were brought up here.
Continue for a further 150 metres and turn left into the car park for the CARRICKREAGH VIEWPOINT WALK. Follow the black route up a steep climb through a hillside forest to the viewpoint. On a fine day one can see as far as the Bluestack Mountains in Donegal to the north and to Sligo Bay and the Atlantic ocean in the West
At the nearby Lough Erne Golf Resort, take the magnificent COLLOP WALK around the Nick Faldo golf course.
