The Castle Coole estate which is just minutes away from the Killyhevlin Hotel provides the most convenient and pleasant of walks. You may leave the hotel on foot and after about 1 km along the footpath enter the estate by the main gate. With Wyatt’s superb neo classical house on the right turn left for the Lough Coole walk or continue for the Beech Wood walk and the Bluebell walk. In the summer enjoy taking a break in the charming tea shop beside the Grand Yard.

Dog-Walking
Castle Coole is a very dog friendly spot, with a number of doggy bag bins available around the estate and a water bowl available near the toilets and tea-room. The estate does not require leads, but please make sure your dog is under control and comfortable interacting with other dogs, people and vehicles when on the main drive. If you are concerned, please keep your dog on a lead for its and others safety.
