Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel is searching for Northern Ireland’s best young garden designer (aged 14 and under) to help create a 40th inspired flower bed to mark four decades in business.
Having recently undergone a range of refurbishments costing £1m, we are celebrating our 40th anniversary in a number of ways and our green fingered search is the latest in a series of fun activities.
Leigh Watson, Director of Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel explains;
“Anyone who has visited the hotel will be familiar with our colourful flower beds and gorgeous green spaces, complimented by the stunning view of Lough Erne. We want to celebrate our 40th year in business and we are inviting the young people of Northern Ireland to participate in our celebrations by creating a 40th inspired floral design that will be brought to life for our guests to enjoy.
“We are asking individual children aged 14 and under to get involved and send in a creative design. The winner will be invited to unveil their completed design and afterwards enjoy a tempting Afternoon Tea with three guests of their choice”.
Leigh continues: “We encourage entrants to create an inspiring new flowerbed that is themed around our 40 years in business and Northern Ireland’s Year of Food and Drink. We’re really looking forward to seeing the entries and would encourage everyone to be as creative as possible.”

Terms and Conditions: The competition is open to all young people up to age 14 years. Prize is as stated and the winner must be accompanied by a responsible adult/ guardian within the party of 4. The actual size, duration and site of the winning flowerbed will be determined by Killyhevlin Lakeside Hotel.
