THE SHEELIN ANTIQUE IRISH LACE MUSEUM
The Lace Museum in Bellanaleck is just 4 miles from Enniskillen on the A509 Dublin Road. The 400 exhibits on display trace the history of lace making in Ireland during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. All the five main types of Irish Lace are represented: Youghal Needlelace, Limerick and Carrickmacross Laces, Crochet Lace and Inishmacsaint Needlelace which was made in Fermanagh.
On display are wedding veils, shawls, parasols, collars, baby bonnets, christening gowns, flounces, jackets and many other items.
The old world charm of the museum extends to the shop which sells antique lace and linen, postcards and other souvenirs.
