On Thursday 26th May 2011 the four star Killyhevlin Hotel & Health Club was proudly announced as overall winner of the Marketing and Sales Excellence Award at the Northern Ireland Tourism Awards.
Organised by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board in partnership with Diageo Northern Ireland, the awards celebrated and showcased the very best of local tourism.
The Killyhevlin’s overall plan has been a resounding success with growth targets either being met or exceeding expectations.
Commenting on the success of the award Jonathan Gallagher, Sales & Marketing Manager stated “We at the four star Killyhevlin Hotel & Health Club are delighted to have won the category of overall Marketing and Sales Excellence 2011. The Killyhevlin has grown to become one of Northern Ireland’s strongest tourism brands and it is testament to the hard work and dedication of all the staff, management and directors of the hotel."
Addressing guests, Tourism Minister Arlene Foster said that she was privileged to return as Tourism Minister to oversee Northern Ireland’s year of opportunity in 2012, the UK City of Culture title for Londonderry in 2013, as well as a host of other exciting tourism developments over the next two years.
Awards were presented in a variety of categories, including Excellent Events, Taste of NI and Best Visitor Experience. Fermanagh scooped a further three awards including Destination Fermanagh for Tourism Partnership Initiative.
